مقدمه: بیس فنلA  بعنوان یک ‌آلاینده‌ زیست محیطی رادیکال­های آزاد تولید می­کند که می­تواند منجر به آسیب سیستم تولیدمثلی شود. ویتامینC  به عنوان یک آنتی اکسیدانت ممکن است بتواند مانع اثرات زیان‌آور رادیکال‌های آزاد شود.
هدف: هدف بررسی اثر ویتامین C بر روی بافت تخمدان در رت‌های تیمار شده با بیس فنل A بود.
مواد و روش­ها: بیست و چهار رت ویستار ماده با میانگین وزن بدن gr20±200 به طور تصادفی به چهار گروه (6n=) تقسیم شدند: کنترل، بیس فنلµg/kg/day) A 60)، ویتامین C (mg/kg/day150) و بیس فنل A+ ویتامین  Cو به صورت گاواژ به مدت 20 روز تیمار شد. تخمدان‌های چپ خارج  و به منظور پردازش بافتی فیکس و با استفاده از روش‌های استریولوژیکی مطالعه شد. داده‌ها باSPSS  با استفاده از one-way ANOVA  آنالیز شدند، و تفاوت میانگین‌ها در حد (05/0>p) معنی دار در نظر گرفته شد.
نتایج: حجم کل تخمدان و کورتکس (01/0>p) ، مدولا  (05/0>p) و حجم جسم زرد (001/0>p) و همچنین میانگین تعداد فولیکول‌های آنترال (001/0>p) در گروه بیس فنل A در مقایسه با کنترل به طور معنی‌داری کاهش یافت، در حالیکه تعداد فولیکول‌‌های آترزی افزایش یافت (05/0>p). حجم اووسیت (01/0>p) و هسته‌ آن (001/0>p) در فولیکول‌های آنترال و همچنین ضخامت منطقه‌ی شفاف در فولیکول‌های ثانویه (05/0>p) وآنترال (001/0>p) درگروه بیس فنل A در مقایسه با کنترل به طور معنی‌داری کاهش یافت. پارامترهای فوق در گروه بیس فنل A+ ویتامینC  تا سطح کنترل جبران شد.
نتیجه ­گیری: ویتامینC  می‌تواند به عنوان یک آنتی اکسیدانت بالقوه در موارد مسمومیت  با بیس فنلA  استفاده شود.
